How to use AyaScan

Simple guides, one small step at a time. Each step has a picture of what you see on your phone.

For customers

1Open AyaScan on your phoneAyaScan works in the internet browser of your phone. You do not need an app store, an e-mail or a phone number.2Use a discount coupon in a shopA coupon is a discount from a shop near you. You show a QR code (a square picture) at the till, the shop scans it, and you pay less.3Save your 12 wordsYour AyaScan account has no password, e-mail or phone. Instead it has 12 secret words. With them you can get your account back on any phone. Without them nobody — not even AyaScan — can bring it back.4Get your account back on a new phoneNew phone, lost phone or cleared browser? Your 12 words bring your account back, with your shop and everything else.5Check a price with the barcodeIn a shop, point your phone at the barcode of a product (the black lines on the package). AyaScan shows what it costs in other shops and other countries.

For shops

1Register your shopRegistration is free and takes about two minutes. Do it while you stand inside your shop: the phone uses your location to put the shop on the map.2Create a couponA coupon brings customers to your door. Every approved shop can publish 10 coupons a month for free.3Scan a customer's coupon at the tillA customer shows you a QR code on their phone. You scan it with your phone, and AyaScan tells you if the discount is valid.4Tell people nearby about your couponSend a short offer to people in your city. It appears in “New offers” and, for people who turned them on, as a silent notification.5Upload your price listCustomers who scan a product near you see your price. You upload your prices once as a simple table file.6Buy more couponsFree coupons are enough for many shops. If you need more, buy a pack once. There is no subscription: nothing renews by itself. Nothing is sold inside the app — you pay on our website.
